Providing your plants with just the right amount of heat, moisture and light will enable them to remain at their best. If you leave your greenhouse unheated, then this will cause damage to your plants and prevent them from thriving. This provides your plants with a little extra heat and easily controls light during darker months. This method will also save you from spending extra on lighting and heating.

Another way of ensuring that your plants remain at their best is to draw up a plan as to when you will plant seeds. If you are planning to grow salad greens such as lettuce, then early winter is a good time to start sowing seeds. Being aware of when you should begin growing each plant will allow you to ensure that it is properly planted and cared for.
