Boys Potty Training : Treat Your Child With Love And Care
|
Teaching your son the basics of potty training is both a fun as well as, well, what can I say, 'interesting' experience, since children don't really like to adhere to rules. However, it is imperative that they soon learn the basic bathroom etiquette since they would soon be on their own in school every day. Add to that camping trips, day-long excursions, and even family picnics, and you would know why boys potty training is so important. Starting from the basics, the first thing you would need to teach your son is to improve his aim. This can be done via many ways. For instance, you could place objects in the urinal or toilet, whichever of the two you have, like miniature footballs, and similar objects that could attract him and make him want to hit them as many times as possible. This might seem like a trivial potty training tip to many, but trust me, you would certainly benefit yourself as well as your son when he goes into what you can call 'unfamiliar territory', i.e., some other toilet or urinal, where he would need to make extra effort while urinating. Next comes equipment. There are many choices in this regard potty chairs, urinals, and toilet potty seats, with each having their own advantages and limitations. A urinal is obviously only for urinating, and thus can't assist in potty training for defecating. A potty chair is a good option, but that does not help in improving the aim. And just while a toilet potty seat might look like the best bet among the three, there is a shortcoming in its part that it requires a step stool for your child to get on. Irrespective of the means you employ, the most important thing to keep in mind is that you need to treat your child with love and respect to teach him these things. Its a part of his learning process towards growing older. Respect the fact that is still a child, and everything will work out just fine. Please install Adobe Flash Player First...
